STAGE 1


ACCOUNTABILITY (45 DAYS)

Stage 1 creates a solid accountability foundation from which to launch her new life. Upon being welcomed into the Sober Lotus House, our guest will be assigned a Sober Lotus Mentor, who will in turn help their mentee pick a 12-step program and sponsor. They will also create a “Plan for Recovery”.
Obtaining an ID, applying for insurance and food stamps, engaging any court ordered classes and completing the “Life Skills: Money Management” class and the “Life Skills: Conflict Resolution” class will be other “Stage 1” accomplishments.

STAGE 2


NEW LIFE (45 DAYS)

Stage 2 provides the framework from which the program participant is to thrive and begin to grow in her new life.  Gaining employment or beginning a work internship with a Sober Lotus Business Affiliate is the main goal.  Program participants will also be expected to complete the “Life Skills: How to get a Job” class and begin GED classes (if needed).

STAGE 3


PERSONAL GROWTH (6 MONTHS)

Stage 3 will be the stage in which growth will occur at an excelled pace.  The Mentor will help the Mentee choose 6 different “Life Skills” classes to complete at a pace of one per month.  She will also continue her employment or internship and stay engaged in the recovery community.  Utilizing budgeting skills, paying off past debt, establishing a savings account and continuing to work the 12-steps are additional Stage 3 expectations.

STAGE 4


COMPLETION (3 MONTHS)

Stage 4 is the final stage at Sober Lotus.  The Mentor and Overseer will help the client choose the final three“Life Skills” classes.  They will also help the client determine whether they will take the path of Reconciliation, Transition or Service.

Reconciliation – This path will be taken will be taken when family reconciliation will be pursued upon program completion.

Transition – This path will be taken when transition back into the world without a family dynamic is the goal of the graduate.

Service – If a program participant desires to stay on after graduation and serve at Sober Lotus, they may be nominated for a House Manager, Overseer or Mentor position at Sober Lotus.
